Understanding water quality

Different water types have different effects on plant health. Here's how to identify and correct problems:

Soft water (EC < 0.4):

• Contains too little calcium and magnesium

• Use CANNA CALMAG AGENT to raise the EC value to 0.4 mS/cm

Normal water (EC 0.4 – 0.5):

• Sufficient content of calcium, magnesium and bicarbonates

• Works well with CANNA TERRA and COCO basic nutrients

Hard water (EC > 0.5):

• Too much calcium and magnesium can overwhelm the plants

• Use RO filter and mix with hard water until EC is 0.4

Poor water (EC > 0.5):

• High sodium and chloride content blocks nutrient absorption

• Clean with RO filter , then mix RO water with tap water (target EC 0.2 ), then add CANNA CALMAG AGENT until 0.4 mS/cm is reached

Use of CANNA CALMAG AGENT in soft water

1. Shake well before use

2. Fill tank with water (20–22 °C)

3. Dosage of CALMAG AGENT: 0.1–0.5 ml per liter of water, adjust EC to 0.4 mS/cm

4. Add nutrients as usual after buffering
